Struck over 180 years ago, this Capped Bust silver quarter bears John Reich's Capped Bust design, which William Kneass modified. It depicts Liberty in a cloth cap, surrounded by 13 stars and the date of issue. The reverse shows an American eagle with Union Shield, an olive branch and three arrows. Encircling the eagle are 25 c. and UNITED STATES OF AMERICA.
